The following, in no particular order, are People, Places and Things we feel need mentioned...

1. LiteMirror:

Sidney has stated, her absolute favorite training tool in her Arena is her Lite Mirrors. They are safe, effective and really help in body placement by showing you your profile as you ride by.

Sidney has a complete unboxing video of her Lite Mirror delivery, installation and usage... as well as one that got destroyed by a horse kick, with no injury or clean up. I encourage you to watch it.

2. DAC Oil

I've mentioned this product in other locations on this website, but it wouldn't be right, not to include it here on our Favorite Products page. We have been using DAC supplements and Dac Horse Feed from our supplier TMK in Sugarcreek for approx. 10 years.

3. TMK Feeds

We have been using TMK out of Sugarcreek, Ohio horse feed with DAC oil for over 5 years. They offer many other brands we grab for special needs, such as Tribute Senior feed, and they sell a quality horse grass mixture for reseeding pastures. Always friendly and the staff is always courteous loading are truck. Highly recommend.

4. Holmes Lumber

Owning and restoring our 3rd generation owned Hawk Farms, and now construction of the new Horse Park, we go through a lot of lumber. Lowes is our local go to for a little of this or a little of that, but Holmes Lumber in Millersburg is our choice for our big orders of tongue and groove yellow pine for stall boards and lumber for our obstacle creations.

5. Bob's Saddle

In the last 10 years, I cannot tell you how many saddles our family has gone through, trying to find the right saddle for the horse and the rider.

So... after dozens, literally dozens... I can say Sidney has found her favorite saddle brand.

Bob's Saddle... She is currently using a 22 year old Bobs Saddle we had the seat cushioning replaced for her, but she loves it. Goal for the future... a new Bob's Saddle.

8. Drinking Post Waterer

The Drinking Post works a lot like a frost-free yard hydrant. The base of the Drinking Post is buried 18″ (46 cm) below the local frost line and connects to a pressurized waterline. All the water comes up from below the frost line and drains back down below the frost line with each use. The animal activates the water by pushing a paddle. When they release the paddle, any water left over drains into a leach field below the Post. When the paddle is pushed, water starts to fill the bowl immediately and fills fully in 5-8 seconds. When it's released, it drains completely in 30-45 seconds. Since all the water drains away, there's never any standing water in the unit – and no standing water means there's nothing to freeze! It stays frost-free year round without any electricity or heaters required. Every time they push the paddle they get fresh, clean water from the water line and there's never any algae growth.

9. Equipride Horse Supplement

SweetPro pioneered the solidification of fermentation feeds such as distillers' grains into solid blocks (known as EquiLix) and our own fermentation process to produce a unique "blend additive" called ProBiotein. Yeast and enzyme levels in ProBiotein greatly enhance the digestion of forages, so horses get more out their hay. In fact up to 25% better feed efficiency by using SweetPro products. Organically complexed trace minerals help improve bioavailability of those important minerals. Plus we're adding the FlaxFactor–stabilized milled flax with its high levels of healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

10. Carroll Equine Products

A friend of ours has started a line of quality equine related products from his manufacturing facility. Sidney will do a little open box video on some of his products in the future, so you can see the quality and thought he puts into his products.

I have a a few ideas of my own I plan on discussing with him in the near future.

I encourage you to visit his site at...

11. Equine Specialty Hospital

You may or may not have heard the horrible stories about Tj getting the roof of his mouth broken, his teeth facing sideways instead of down. Well, these are the people who performed the procedure to put him back together and the results are now, undetectable. If you have a medical emergency with your equine. I can't recommend them enough.

16. Experimax

Those who know us, already know we give credit where credit is due. This company, a small unsuspecting computer service or repair shop in Belden Village is absolutely amazing. Sidney had a broken screen on her new MacBook Pro... it was too new to get parts for, but the big box store, (I won't mention them by name) was more than willing to charger literally the price of a new computer, plus an additional healthy amount to switch all her files and prep it for her...
I went to Experimax and they gave us several different options... and by the time we were done, we had a new computer, cloned to be just like her old computer for less than the Big Box repair was going to cost.

Put this company in your Roll-A-Dex.

17. Miller WeldMaster

Hawk Farms made a great connection recently with Miller Weldmaster, they have helped wrap the community with all the banners and vinyl wraps you see at places like Tuslaw and the ball fields in the area. Great people, exceptional company and we expect a real connection with these folks in the near future. I encourage you to check out their products and service at the following website.
