Phase II... Outdoor Arena Getting Close

We have diligently been working to level, grade, compact, rockhound, and grow the dimensions for Phase II, "the Outdoor Arena". We had everything prepped for Swiss Vally Fence to begin construction of the vinyl fence, today April 10, 2024. However, April 9th, 2024 we had a 3" rainfall in about an hour. the next 4 days are calling for 100% rain, so it was looking like nothing would be happening until next week. Surprise... 7:45 AM this morning... the crew showed up, ready to work.  It was off and on rain all day, but what they got done was nothing short of amazing and beautiful. 
This was to be my 20th birthday present to Sidney, so only missed it by 4 days. Not bad for such a major project.
This property a decade ago was simply a steep hillside, a 21' elevation change from one end to the other. It seemed like I installed miles of tile and culvert in the low areas, then I carved the top eight feet off the highest elevation and pushed it into the lower elevation.  Then over about a two-year period, we took in basement dirt, and every other kind of fill we could find. so now that it is a nice laser leveled field it was anyone's guess what kind of things might have to be drilled into to set the post. Thus, the auger bit shown with carbide teeth. I might add, the young men from Swiss Valley Fence were a perfect team of workers and I highly recommend them.
