Crofut Arena Available Soon
The 35,000 squ/ft Outdoor, Crofut Arena at Sidney Hawk Equine is now useable. Not done, but useable. It may take the rest of the summer to get all the little things done we have planned, but Sidney and several of her friends have been using it daily.
For the time being, there will not be a calendar for booking the outdoor arena. If you book time in the indoor, you are welcome to migrate out and use it, but because of its size, it can accommodate many at the same time with just a little bit of courtesy among riders.
If you have a group of individuals for a practice or clinic, please reach out to Sidney for reservation details.
I bet, if you ask her nicely, you might be able to talk her into some group PAS (Performance Against a Standard) practice and pointers for State Fair as a 4-H groups. She has certainly been there and done that.
***Speaking of 4-H groups... Let's reach out to all the Wayne, Tuscarawas, Summit and of course Stark County 4-H groups and let them know they should monitor this FB page for upcoming events and opportunities.
For any who may have missed it... Sidney has named the arena "Crofut Arena" after her late great Aunt Luella Crofut. Luella was Sidney's grandpa Hawk's sister. The land the arena is built on was once owned by Byron and Luella Crofut. The Crofut's grew up on this farm and in Moffit Heights, Ohio. They married and moved to Florida almost 70 years ago. They have been active with the agricultural community through the Sarasota Florida Fair and Jr Fair and 4-H for pretty much that entire 70 years. Lue recently passed away at 91 years old and her memory stays strong with all of us. Byron wanted to see this Horse Park become a reality, so made a contribution in her memory to help with this beautiful white vinyl fence. Thank you, Byron, for all you and Lou have done for the kids in the agricultural world.
